Fight Between Two Groups in Prospect Park Ends in Shooting

NEW YORK, NY – A shooting in Prospect Park on Sunday afternoon left a 37-year-old man with a leg injury.

The New York City Police Department responded to the southeast corner of the park around 3 p.m., finding the wounded man.

Eyewitnesses reported a confrontation between two groups of men prior to the shooting.

The injured individual was quickly transported to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in stable condition.

Following the incident, the assailants fled towards Coney Island Ave. The area witnessed significant panic, with people fleeing from the shooter. The police are actively investigating the incident and seeking to apprehend the gunman, but no arrests have been made yet.
