Police Investigating Shooting in Passaic

PASSAIC, NJ – In the early hours of Saturday, the Passaic Police Department was called to the intersection of Passaic Street and Third Street following a report of a shooting. Initial efforts to find victims at the scene were unsuccessful.

However, a 37-year-old male resident of Passaic later presented himself at Hackensack University Medical Center with gunshot wounds, aligning with the reported incident time. Additionally, a potential crime scene linked to this event was located by the police.

The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, led by Camelia M. Valdes, and Police Chief Luis A. Guzman are currently conducting an active investigation into the shooting.
