Montgomery County Woman Pleads Guilty to Vehicular Homicide of Two State Troopers, Pedestrian

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Jayana Webb pleaded guilty to the vehicular homicide of two Pennsylvania State troopers and a pedestrian on Wednesday. Webb, facing a trial in less than two weeks, admitted to causing the deaths of Troopers Martin F. Mack III and Branden T. Sisca, and Reyes Rivera Oliveras, a pedestrian.

In March 2022, Webb was arrested for a crash on I-95 that resulted in the fatalities. She faced charges including three counts of 3rd Degree Murder and Homicide by Vehicle while Driving Under the Influence.

The court sentenced Webb to 27½ to 60 years in prison, a decision announced by Judge Barbara McDermott.

District Attorney Larry Krasner highlighted the significance of the conviction, acknowledging the effort of ADA Jeffrey Hojnowski and the Homicide/Non-Fatal Shootings Unit, as well as the Pennsylvania State Police. Krasner noted the avoidance of a potentially retraumatizing jury trial for the victims’ families. He announced further updates following Webb’s formal court appearance next Tuesday.
