Port Richmond Shooting Leaves Man Critically Injured

PHILADELPHIA, PA – In the early hours of Tuesday morning, a 32-year-old man was critically injured in a shooting in Philadelphia’s Port Richmond section.

The incident occurred just before 3 a.m. on the 3400 block of Gaul Street. The victim, coming home from work, was approached by an individual in a white pickup truck attempting a robbery.

The assailant shot the victim in the neck before fleeing north on Gaul Street.

Upon arrival, police found the victim unresponsive and rushed him to the hospital for emergency surgery.

The Philadelphia Police Department is examining surveillance footage from the area as part of the ongoing investigation.
