Suspect Sought in Sexual Assault and Robbery Cases

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police-2nd District Patrol Investigations Unit are seeking assistance from the public in identifying a suspect involved in two separate incidents that occurred on Thursday, September 14.

The first incident took place at approximately 9:45 p.m. when a woman walking her dog near the intersection of Woodglen Dr. and Executive Blvd. was sexually assaulted by an unknown suspect. The assailant fled the scene on an electric scooter, heading westbound on Executive Blvd.

Approximately half an hour later, at 10:15 p.m., officers responded to an assault on the Bethesda Trolley Trail. Another woman reported that the same suspect, who had engaged her in conversation, attempted to grab her purse and assaulted her.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect again fled on an electric scooter, this time toward Tuckerman Ln.

Both incidents are believed to be the work of the same suspect, described as a white or mixed-race male, approximately 6-feet tall, weighing 190 pounds, with dark hair and glasses.

Police have released a composite sketch of the suspect and are asking anyone with information to come forward to aid in his identification.
