Two Injured in West Charlotte Drive-by Shooting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a drive-by shooting in west Charlotte that occurred around 12:13 a.m. on Monday.

Two individuals, a 16-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man, were critically injured near 2600 Mayfair Ave. near Seymour Drive.

The victims were transported to a local medical center with life-threatening injuries.

A third person, a 20-year-old, was also targeted but remained unharmed.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the assailants conducted the shooting from a vehicle, injuring the two individuals.
