Arrest Made in Rochester Transit Center Shooting

ROCHESTER, NY— The Rochester Police Department has reported the arrest of 44-year-old Jamel Robinson following a fatal shooting outside the Transit Center.

Robinson faces charges including second-degree murder, first-degree assault, and weapon possession.

The incident occurred around 7:45 a.m., when Kevin Rigdon, aged 38, was fatally shot multiple times by Robinson as he exited the Transit Center onto St. Paul Street.

Additionally, Robinson is accused of shooting another man in his 40s, who is currently receiving treatment for serious injuries.

Robinson was apprehended inside the Sibley Building with a handgun. The Rochester Police Department successfully subdued and arrested him before he could use the weapon.
