PHILADELPHIA, PA – Early Wednesday morning, a woman, yet to be identified, lost her life in a shooting incident in North Philadelphia. Philadelphia Police Department responded to reports of a person with a gun at the intersection of N 7th and W Norris streets around 5:30 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the woman unresponsive on the sidewalk next to a church, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. She was declared deceased shortly after their arrival.
