Man Shot in Neck During Attempted Robbery in Philadelphia’s Port Richmond

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A 32-year-old man was critically injured in an attempted robbery in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia.

The incident occurred early Tuesday morning when the victim, returning home from work, was confronted by an armed individual near the 3400 block of Gaul Street.

At approximately 3 AM, the victim was shot in the neck by the assailant, who then fled the scene in a white pickup truck heading north on Gaul Street.

The victim, found unresponsive by the police, was immediately rushed to the hospital for surgery and remains in critical condition.

The Philadelphia Police Department is reviewing surveillance footage from the area to identify the gunman.
