Yardley Police Seek to Catch Turkeys Driving Drunk on Thanksgiving

YARDLEY, PA – Yardley Borough Police Department (YBPD) announced an enhanced DUI suppression effort for Thanksgiving Eve, traditionally a night of increased social gatherings and alcohol consumption.

The YBPD’s initiative focuses on deterring, detecting, and enforcing laws against driving under the influence. This move is a proactive step to ensure public safety during a time known for higher instances of impaired driving.

The department also shared a video from the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, emphasizing the importance of responsible planning. They encourage the use of designated drivers, taxis, or ride-sharing services, stressing the critical message: do not operate a vehicle under the influence.
