Moped Rider Dead After Crash in the Bronx

BRONX, NY — A tragic vehicle collision occurred on Saturday, November 25, claiming the life of a 23-year-old moped rider. The incident, involving a Honda Civic and a moped, happened near Fox Street and Intervale Avenue, as confirmed by the 41 Precinct police.

The collision took place around 14:22 hours following a 911 distress call. Reports indicate that the Honda Civic, driven by a 28-year-old woman, was moving southbound on Fox Street when it collided with the moped, also traveling in the same direction. The moped operator, identified as Robert Jimenez of the Bronx,, sustained significant injuries.

Emergency services responded promptly, and Jimenez was rushed to NYC Health and Hospitals/ Lincoln. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The driver of the Honda Civic was taken into custody, though specific details regarding charges have not been released.
