LAURELDALE, PA – A 17-year-old male sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound in what is believed to be an accidental shooting in Laureldale.

Berks County District Attorney John Adams reported the incident on Friday.

The Laureldale Police Department responded to a call at 4:45 a.m. in the 3500 block of Montclare Street, where they found the injured teen.

He was transported to a hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to his arm.

Investigators, led by county detectives, are probing the incident. No firearm was recovered at the scene, and Adams noted a lack of cooperation from those involved.
