Five Juveniles Including Girl, 12, Arrested for Armed Robbery

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — The Montgomery County Police Department reported the arrest of five juveniles linked to an armed robbery on October 4, 2023. The suspects, aged between 12 and 15, were charged with armed robbery and assault.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:34 p.m. on the 12400 block of Galway Dr. The victim, after alighting from a Metro bus, was reportedly attacked by multiple assailants. He was grabbed from behind, punched several times, and threatened with a knife. The assailants demanded and obtained the victim’s phone and AirPods before fleeing.

Detectives, through their investigation, identified and arrested a 14-year-old male suspect on November 6, 2023. He was charged with armed robbery and assault.

Further investigations led to the charging of four additional suspects on November 10, 2023. These included two 15-year-old males, a 15-year-old female, and a 12-year-old female. Their cases have been referred to the Department of Juvenile Services.
