Stabbing Incident at Family Dollar Leads to Arrest in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, PA – On November 23, the Allentown Police Department responded to a stabbing incident at the Family Dollar store located at 1401 Allen St.

The suspect, Raphael Garcia, 28, with no current address, was apprehended following an intervention by a store employee during a theft attempt.

Garcia, who inflicted a minor laceration on the employee’s hand with a knife, was identified and located on November 25.

He was found in possession of drug paraphernalia and later confessed to the theft and stabbing.

Charges against Garcia include possessing instruments of crime and simple assault. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty, and further details on the investigation are withheld.
