Investigation Underway in Atco, NJ Officer-Involved Fatality

ATCO, NJ – The Attorney General’s Office is conducting an investigation into a fatal incident involving a Waterford Police Department officer. On Thursday, November 23, an on-duty officer, driving a department vehicle, struck and killed an adult male on White Horse Pike (Route 30) in Atco, New Jersey. The incident occurred in the early hours, with the victim being pronounced dead at the scene at 2:19 a.m. The identities of the officer and the deceased individual have not been disclosed.

The circumstances surrounding the collision are under review. The Attorney General’s Office is leading the investigation to determine the details of the incident. The Waterford Police Department has not issued a statement regarding the officer’s current status or the department’s response to the incident.
