Fatal Shooting in East New York Leaves One Dead

EAST NEW YORK, NY – Police responded to a shooting incident at 721 Vermont Street in East New York on Tuesday. A 38-year-old male was found with a gunshot wound to the chest. Emergency services transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he was declared deceased.

The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the 75th Precinct. The call to the police was made around 2:18 PM following the shooting. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is active.

Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased, pending notification of the family. Further details will be provided as the investigation progresses.
