Grand Island Man Charged with Murder and Assault Following Road Rage

BUFFALO, NY – Ronald F. Olson, II, 43, of Grand Island, was arraigned before State Supreme Court Justice Paul B. Wojtaszek on charges including Second Degree Murder and multiple counts of Assault.

This follows an incident on March 20, in Buffalo.

Olson is alleged to have pursued a Jeep Liberty with his Chevrolet Silverado on Main Street, resulting in a collision that killed 18-year-old Jarel Buchanan and injured four other young men.

Olson, held without bail, faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison if convicted of the highest charge.

A return court date is yet to be scheduled.
