Wawa Parking Lot Argument Turns into Roadway Rage Shooting

GAMBRILLS, MD – Anne Arundel County Police responded to a reported shooting on Tuesday, at around 6:30 a.m. in the 700 block of Annapolis Road, Gambrills. The incident occurred following a confrontation in the Wawa parking lot, where the victim, behind a black KIA Optima, yelled at the driver to move.

Both vehicles subsequently drove onto Annapolis Road.

The KIA, with two black male occupants, pulled alongside the victim’s car and fired shots at it as they turned onto Route 3. The suspects then headed northbound towards I-97. The victim’s vehicle was damaged in the shooting, but the victim remained unharmed.

Western District detectives are conducting an investigation and urge anyone with information to contact 410-222-6155 or the Anne Arundel County Police Tip Line at 410-222-4700. The police are actively seeking leads to identify and apprehend the suspects involved in this shooting.
