Duo Arrested in Series of Robberies in Lancaster County

LANCASTER COUNTY, PA – On Sunday, SRPD Officers responded to a robbery in progress at Rutter’s convenience store in East Donegal Township.

The female suspect, who claimed to be armed, demanded money from the store clerk before fleeing in a black Hyundai Elantra.

The vehicle, registered to Michael Brown of Marietta, PA, was later identified in two additional robberies in West Hempfield Township and Columbia Borough.

After thorough investigation, SRPD Officers located the suspect vehicle in Marietta, leading to the arrest of Michael and Emily Brown at their residence.

Both have been charged with three counts each of robbery and criminal conspiracy. They are currently held at Lancaster County Prison awaiting arraignment, with the reminder that they are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
