House Fire on Brookshire Road Displaces Families in Gloucester Township

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ – On November 28, 2023, at 14:18 hours, emergency services, including police, fire, and EMS, were dispatched to Brookshire Road in the Sicklerville section of Gloucester Township following reports of smoke emanating from a row of homes. Upon arrival, first responders observed smoke and flames through the roof of the building.

Multiple fire departments from Gloucester Township, including Glendora, Chews Landing, Blenheim, Blackwood, Erial, and Lambs Terrace, as well as units from Pine Hill, Winslow Township, and Laurel Springs, responded to the scene. Their prompt action enabled them to bring the fire under control quickly.

Only two residences suffered damage, leading to the displacement of two families. Thankfully, these families were able to find local accommodation with relatives.

Representatives from the Gloucester Township Office of Emergency Management and the American Red Cross were on-site, assisting the residents with relocation and other needs.

The fire, which does not appear suspicious, remains under investigation by the Camden County Fire Marshal’s Office, Gloucester Township Fire District #6, and the Gloucester Township Police Department.
