Maplewood Hit-and-Run: Pedestrian Injured, Police Seek Information

MAPLEWOOD, NJ – A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident on November 27 at the intersection of Parker Ave and Hudson Ave in Maplewood. The pedestrian, who sustained minor injuries, reported being hit by a silver/blue four-door vehicle while crossing the street.

The vehicle fled north on Hudson Ave following the incident. South Essex Fire Department and EMS responded, transporting the pedestrian to a local hospital.

The Maplewood Police Traffic Bureau and Detective Bureau are actively investigating the hit-and-run. Maplewood Police urge anyone with video footage or information about the incident to contact Officer Isetts at 973-762-3400 or via email at WIsetts@Maplewoodnj.gov. In response to the incident, police patrols will be increased in the area.
