NYPD Seeks Public’s Help in Identifying Suspect in Assault Case

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is reaching out to the public for assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an assault. The incident occurred inside 362 Willis Avenue on Sunday, at approximately 2:20 a.m.

The assault began as a verbal dispute between a 31-year-old male victim and an unidentified male, which escalated into a physical altercation.

The suspect temporarily left the scene, only to return and shoot the victim in the right leg. The victim was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln in a stable condition.

The NYPD described the suspect as a male with a dark complexion, estimated to be between 40 to 50 years old, of medium build, last seen wearing a green jacket, black knit cap, and dark-colored pants and shoes. A photo of the suspect is available via DCPI.
