Buffalo Man Sentenced to Life for 2021 Murder

BUFFALO, NY – Erie County Court saw the conclusion of a significant murder case on Thursday, with Javair D. Walker, 21, from Buffalo, receiving a 25-years-to-life prison sentence.

Erie County Court Judge Sheila A. DiTullio presided over the case.

The crime dates back to August 16, 2021, when Walker fired into a crowd on Page Street and Lawn Avenue, fatally wounding a 17-year-old girl.

Walker was apprehended by the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Cleveland, Ohio, and extradited back to New York for trial.

In a jury decision following a four-day trial, Walker was found guilty of Murder in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree on October 25.
