7-Eleven Customer Beaten And Robbed After Refusing to Give Cigarette

SILVER SPRING, MD – The Montgomery County Department of Police is investigating a robbery that occurred on Saturday, November 11, inside a 7-Eleven on Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring.

Surveillance photos of the suspect have been released, and public assistance is sought in identifying him.

The incident unfolded around 5:45 AM when the suspect, after a denied request for a cigarette, assaulted a customer and stole his wallet.

The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 6-feet tall, with a muscular build. He was wearing a black winter hat, green sweatshirt, black jeans, and black shoes, and carrying a black sling bag.

A reward of up to $10,000 is offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspect. Tips can be submitted anonymously through the Crime Solvers of Montgomery County website or by calling 1-866-411-8477.
