Person of Interest in Newark Double Shooting Sought by Police

NEWARK, NJ – The Newark Police Division, under the guidance of Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé, is actively seeking public assistance in locating Karron Lovelace-Hinton, 37.

Lovelace-Hinton is wanted for questioning in connection to a shooting that took place on March 24.

The incident occurred around 1 p.m. on Chancellor Avenue in the 400 block area.

Two individuals were injured during the shooting and received medical treatment at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.

Information regarding Lovelace-Hinton’s whereabouts can be reported to the Newark Police Division’s Crime Stopper tip line, available 24 hours at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All tips received will remain confidential and could lead to a reward.
