Teen Arrested in Munhall Murder Investigation

MUNHALL, PA – A 16-year-old, Raylon Williams, has been arrested for his alleged involvement in a homicide in Munhall. The incident, which occurred in the early hours of November 15, led to the death of 33-year-old Dontae Hatcher.

County 9-1-1 received reports of a shooting at around 3:56 am in the 500 block of East 9th Avenue. First responders found Hatcher with gunshot wounds in an apartment, where he was subsequently pronounced deceased.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit launched an investigation. Through witness accounts, detectives identified Williams as the suspected shooter, who also allegedly threatened another individual in the apartment.

Williams was apprehended on November 30 without incident. He faces charges as an adult, including homicide, illegal firearm possession by a minor, and terroristic threats.

Following his arraignment, Williams was denied bail and is currently detained at the Allegheny County Jail.
