Fatal Pedestrian Crash Under Investigation in Dundalk

DUNDALK, MD — The Baltimore County Police Department is investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred on Saturday, December 2, at around 11 a.m. at the intersection of Jaydee Avenue and German Hill Road, 21222. According to the initial findings, 54-year-old Dayton Balliet Jr. was working under a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser supported by a jack, when a Toyota Sienna, attempting to park behind the Chrysler, struck the vehicle, causing it to fall off the jack.

Balliet was critically injured in the incident and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Department Crash Team are leading the ongoing investigation into this tragic accident.
