Two Men Arrested for Burglary and Property Damage in Cumberland

CUMBERLAND, MD — Two Cumberland residents, Brandon Marshal Ridgeley, 45, and Christopher Michael Emerson, 34, were arrested by the Cumberland City Police on December 2, following a burglary incident. The incident occurred on November 29 at a residence in the 400 block of Arch St. Ridgeley and Emerson allegedly broke into a vacant apartment building, using it as a temporary residence.

During their unauthorized stay, they reportedly caused several hundred dollars’ worth of damage to the property. Both men were served a criminal summons and face charges of 4th Degree Burglary and Malicious Destruction of Property. They have been released pending their trial in District Court.
