Suspect Arrested for Brutal Broad Daylight Assault of Elderly Woman

BALTIMORE, MD — On November 27, Baltimore Police responded to a severe assault in the 500 block of Otterbein Street. Upon arrival at approximately 10:06 a.m., they found a 70-year-old female victim with a significant laceration to her body.

The victim was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for emergency surgery and is currently in stable condition.

The preliminary investigation led to the identification of the assailant as 29-year-old William Bowles of Baltimore. Bowles was apprehended at the crime scene and taken into custody without incident.

Following his arrest, detectives transported Bowles to the Central Booking Intake Facility. He faces charges of Attempted 1st-degree murder and additional related charges.
