Arson Suspect Captured on McDonald’s Video Surveillance Camera

CUMBERLAND, MD – State Fire Marshals are investigating a vehicle fire that occurred early Sunday morning in Cumberland, Maryland. The incident took place at around 4:25 a.m. on December 3. Deputy State Fire Marshals, using surveillance footage from a McDonald’s on Industrial Boulevard, identified a potential suspect.

The footage shows the individual moving from the intersection of Blackinston Avenue and Gateway Terrace onto Maple Street, eventually leaving the camera’s view.

The suspect was seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, light jeans, and white shoes, and carrying a black backpack.

The Office of the State Fire Marshal urges anyone with information to contact Deputy State Fire Marshal Adam Rounds at 301-729-5544. Informants have the option to remain anonymous.
