CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A shooting at Playground CLT, a gentleman’s club on Freedom Drive in northwest Charlotte, resulted in two people being critically injured early Monday morning.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating the incident close to the intersection with Moores Chapel Road.
Medic personnel responded to the scene, confirming that one victim had life-threatening injuries, while the other sustained serious injuries. Both individuals were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
As of now, the police have not released further details about the shooting or the circumstances surrounding it.
This incident adds to a series of violent events in the area, including two separate homicides that occurred on Sunday night.
