EASTON, MD – A yearlong investigation by the Talbot County Drug Task Force and Homeland Security Investigations has led to the arrest of eight individuals linked to a drug-trafficking ring in Talbot County. The operation, which began in Spring 2022, also involved Maryland State Police and over two dozen local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.

The primary suspect, Sherman Nathaniel Greene Jr., 42, of Cambridge, was charged with importing and distributing large quantities of illegal drugs, including cocaine and heroin, across Talbot, Dorchester, Caroline, and Queen Anne’s counties. During the investigation, multiple search and seizure warrants were executed, resulting in the seizure of over 1,300 grams of suspected cocaine, heroin/fentanyl, two rifles, and seven vehicles used in drug transportation.

The Talbot County Drug Task Force, a collaboration of various local and state law enforcement agencies, played a crucial role in the operation. While all suspects have been released on bail, Greene remains detained at the Dorchester County Detention Center without bond.
