Police Arrest Woman for Setting Fire to Stroller Outside New Jersey Pre-School

BAYONNE, NJ – The Bayonne Police Department announced the arrest of Khaliyah Bordeaux, a 37-year-old woman from Jersey City, for arson.

The incident occurred on Monday, at around noon, near The Lauren Wendroff Early Children’s Academy on JFK Boulevard.

A baby stroller valued at $1,400, was set ablaze and later extinguished by a school representative. The investigation included a surveillance footage review, which showed a female suspect setting the stroller on fire.

Bordeaux, matching the suspect’s description, was apprehended on Tuesday at the Bayonne Police Traffic Division while attempting to retrieve her impounded vehicle. It is noted that the incident was not bias-based.
