Altercation Leads to Shooting at Pittsburgh Greyhound Station

PITTSBURGH, PA – A confrontation between two individuals at the Pittsburgh Greyhound station escalated into an incident on Wednesday morning.

Pittsburgh Police responded to the scene at approximately 7:00 a.m. following reports of the altercation which began on a bus and subsequently moved to the station concourse.

The situation intensified when one of the individuals brandished a knife, threatening the other. Agents from the Attorney General’s office, who were present at the time, intervened.

Despite their efforts, the armed individual refused to relinquish the weapon. Subsequently, an agent discharged their firearm, shooting the knife-wielding suspect.

The injured suspect was taken to a hospital and is currently in critical condition. Pittsburgh Police clarified that the Port Authority Police did not play a role in this incident. The investigation into this matter is ongoing.
