NYC Dept. of Education Employee Charged for DWI

NEW YORK, NY – On Wednesday, December 6, an off-duty employee of the New York City Department of Education was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). The arrest occurred within the 45th Precinct.

The individual apprehended is Charles Jay, a 56-year-old male. Details surrounding the circumstances of his arrest have not been fully disclosed.

Police did not disclose Jay’s role within the Department of Education. Records show Jay earns $113,517 annually from the Department of Education and works as an administrator.
