Philadelphia Man Charged for Duct Taping, Cuffing Female Sushi House Worker During New Jersey Robbery

EVESHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ – A significant breakthrough has been made in a robbery case involving the Mikado Japanese Sushi and Steak House on E. Route 73 in Evesham Township.

The incident, which occurred on September 23, 2023, at around 10:21 PM, involved an unknown individual entering the establishment after hours. The suspect pepper-sprayed a female employee, bound her, duct-taped her mouth, and stole cash register contents before fleeing.

Evesham Police Detectives launched an intensive investigation, leading to the identification of Jevonte Pressley as the suspect. Pressley has been charged with robbery, aggravated assault, theft, and criminal restraint. He is currently held in Philadelphia on unrelated charges and awaits extradition to New Jersey.
