Car Thief Arrested by Regional Task Force in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD – The Baltimore Police Department reported a successful operation by the Regional Auto Theft Task Force leading to an arrest of one individual.

On December 5, at about 11:30 a.m., task force members located an occupied stolen vehicle in the area.

Upon attempting a car stop on the 1600 block of West North Avenue, the driver, identified as 31-year-old Brittany Ricks of Baltimore, attempted to flee the scene. Detectives quickly apprehended Ricks, who was confirmed not to be the owner of the vehicle.

Following the arrest, Ricks was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where she faced charges related to the auto theft.
