Fatal Vehicle Crash in Pasadena Under Investigation

PASADENA, MD – A tragic single-vehicle crash occurred in Pasadena, leading to one fatality and critically injuring another. The Anne Arundel County Police Department reported that the incident happened on December 7, 2023, around 12:06 a.m. at the intersection of Fort Smallwood Road and Bar Harbor Road.

A 2011 Infiniti G37, driven by 23-year-old Meziah Johnson from Baltimore, was traveling eastbound on Fort Smallwood Road when it veered off the road at the intersection and collided with a utility pole on Bar Harbor Road. The passenger, 22-year-old Damione Gardner, also from Baltimore, was pronounced dead at the scene by Anne Arundel County Fire Department officials. Johnson sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Traffic Safety Section is actively investigating the crash to determine the cause and contributing factors.
