MANHATTAN, NY – On Thursday, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg, Jr., announced the indictment of Li De Ming, 42, for a violent attack in a Lower Manhattan subway station.
De Ming faces charges of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, two counts of Attempted Assault in the First Degree, and one count of Assault in the Second Degree.
On the morning of November 1, De Ming reportedly carried a plank of wood while pacing on the southbound platform of the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall station. At approximately 10:12 a.m., he allegedly attacked a 28-year-old man who had just exited the 6 train.
The victim, who was looking at his cellphone, was struck in the back of the head and shoved onto the tracks.
He managed to climb back onto the platform, suffering from a head gash, scrapes, bruises, and severe pain.
