Brooklyn Man Arrested Arrested For Beating Two Men, One Dead, One critical

BROOKLYN, NY — The NYPD has reported the arrest of 33-year-old Sergio Zamora Mendoza of Brooklyn, on charges of manslaughter and assault. The arrest, which took place at 5:40 pm on December 8, by 62nd Precinct officers, follows an investigation into a violent incident that occurred a day earlier.

Police responded to a 911 call reporting two unconscious males with head trauma on the ground in front of 1968 West 9 Street. EMS transported both victims, a 66-year-old male identified as Carlos Guaman and a 52-year-old male, to Maimonides Medical Center. Guaman was pronounced deceased at the hospital, while the second victim remains in critical but stable condition.

The preliminary investigation revealed that an unknown male assaulted both victims by repeatedly punching them in the heads before fleeing the scene in a vehicle heading northbound on West 9 Street.
