NYPD Seeking Bronx Slashing Suspect

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department (NYPD) is requesting public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an assault on East Tremont Avenue. The incident occurred on Wednesday.

At approximately 2:05 p.m., a 63-year-old male was confronted and slashed in the face with a knife by an unidentified individual following a verbal dispute.

The attack took place in front of 505 East Tremont Avenue. The victim, who refused medical attention, suffered a facial laceration.

The suspect is described as a 30-year-old male with a light complexion and a black beard, last seen wearing a black hat, a black and white jacket, grey pants, and white sneakers.

The NYPD has released media depicting the individual and asks anyone with information to contact their Crime Stoppers Hotline or submit tips through their website or Twitter.
