NYPD Seeks Public’s Help to Identify Suspect in Hunts Point Station Robbery

NEW YORK CITY, NY — The New York City Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in identifying a suspect involved in a robbery at the Hunts Point station. The incident occurred on Friday, November 17, 2023, at approximately 4:30 a.m. within the 41st Precinct.

According to police reports, a 65-year-old male victim was on the southbound 6 train platform when he was approached by an unknown individual. A verbal altercation escalated into a physical confrontation, resulting in the victim being pushed to the ground and sustaining an injury to his left shoulder. The assailant then kicked the victim in the face and forcibly took $7 from him before fleeing the station.

The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, dark hair, and a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black and red hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored pants, and light sneakers. Media obtained from the Hunts Point Avenue station after the incident shows the individual believed to be the assailant.

The victim was transported to Saint Barnabas Hospital by EMS and is in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
