Off-Duty NYC Department of Corrections Employee Arrested for Assault

NEW YORK CITY, NY — On December 9, 2023, Richard Irving, a 37-year-old off-duty employee of the New York City Department of Corrections, was arrested and charged with assault within the 43rd Precinct.

The circumstances surrounding the incident leading to Irving’s arrest have not been disclosed in detail by the NYPD.
