Shooting in McKees Rocks Leads to Allegheny County Homicide Investigation

MCKEES ROCKS, PA — The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a shooting that occurred in the Hays Manor apartment complex near Building 19. The incident was reported at 7:23 pm, according to a department Facebook post.

The victim, a 30-year-old male, sustained a gunshot wound to the chest. After the shooting, he sought help at the McKees Rocks Police Station and was subsequently transported to a local hospital. His condition is reported as critical but stable.

The suspect, described as a black male wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark gray sweatpants, remains at large. Homicide detectives have initiated an investigation into the shooting.
