Gaithersburg Murder Suspect Arrested

GAITHERSBURG, MD – Ronald Thomas Dwyer II, 44, has been arrested and charged with the murder of 60-year-old Charles Claggett.

The incident was reported on Tuesday, November 28, in the 200 block of Old MacDonald Road.

Claggett was found unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene despite efforts from Montgomery County Fire Rescue.

The Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes detectives identified Dwyer as the suspect. He was arrested on Wednesday, on an unrelated warrant.

Dwyer faces charges of first-degree murder and robbery. He is being held without bond at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
