Arrest Made in Double Shooting on Brooklyn C-Train

BROOKLYN, NY – The New York City Police Department has reported the arrest of Alexander Villafana, a 20-year-old male from Brooklyn, on Tuesday.

The arrest relates to an incident on November 28, where Villafana allegedly shot two individuals during a dispute on a C train approaching Ralph Avenue.

The victims, a 17-year-old male and a 57-year-old bystander, were struck in the hand and ankle, respectively.

Both were transported to a hospital and are in stable condition. Villafana faces charges including attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment.

The NYPD continues to seek public assistance in identifying other individuals involved in the incident. Tips can be submitted anonymously to the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline.
