BROOKLYN, NY – Terrence Reid, a 43-year-old man from Hempstead, was arraigned on Tuesday on multiple charges including sex trafficking of a child, following his indictment in Brooklyn Supreme Court.

Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez announced the arraignment, specifying the charges against Reid, known as Chinchilla, include attempted sex trafficking, promoting prostitution, and endangering the welfare of a child. Held without bail, Reid is scheduled to return to court on January 31, 2024.

Investigations indicate that Reid initiated contact with a 15-year-old girl via Instagram in early 2022.

In May, after persuading her to meet, he reportedly took her and a 26-year-old woman to a hotel in East Orange, New Jersey.

Here, he allegedly forced them into prostitution. The teen was eventually able to escape and report the incidents.
