Traffic Stop Leads to Illegal Handgun in Hanover

HANOVER, MD – On Saturday, at approximately 4:25 p.m., officers patrolling the 7000 block of Arundel Mills Circle in Hanover identified a white 2020 Dodge Charger with a stolen registration plate.

The car was occupied by a single male suspect, Michael Christian Stone, a 30-year-old resident of Laurel, Maryland.

During the stop, officers discovered a loaded black Polymer 80 handgun between the driver’s seat and door.

Investigations confirmed that Stone was prohibited from possessing handguns.

Stone was subsequently arrested and charged for the handgun violation and possessing the stolen tag.
