Newark Police Issue Alert for Missing Man

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Lamont Anderson, 41, of Newark, who was reported missing on Friday, December 15.

Mr. Anderson, identified as mentally challenged, was last observed at Shoprite, 206 Springfield Avenue, at 12:58 p.m. He stands at 5’11” and weighs 280 pounds. His last known attire includes a black jacket, blue jeans, a gray hat, and a face mask.

Director Fragé encourages anyone with information regarding Lamont Anderson’s whereabouts to contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
