SPRINGDALE TOWNSHIP, PA – The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is conducting an investigation following a shooting incident in Springdale Township.
At 5:11 p.m., County 9-1-1 received a report of a shooting inside a residence in the 800 block of Thompson Run Road. First responders discovered an adult female with a gunshot wound to the abdomen and a male, identified as her husband, with a gunshot wound to the head. Both victims are expected to survive.
Detectives currently believe no other individuals are involved and assert that there is no imminent danger to the community. The Homicide Unit has commenced a thorough investigation into the incident.
